<< review queue entry 36786 >> In Taiwan this character is pronounced as dong4. It is derived from Japanese and mainly used in restaurants in the word 丼飯 = bowl of rice. Editor: Is it "derived from Japanese" or is it simply a word of Japanese, mixed in with the Chinese? Other dictionaries don't recognize 丼[dong4] as part of the Chinese language, and others also balk at "dong4" ~ 照理說，大碗蓋飯的「丼」應該是要唸成「 ㄐㄧㄥˇ 」才是，不能因為店員這樣說「ㄉㄨㄥˋ」，然後就以此自創發音，並且人云亦云，但其實這樣是不太可取的！ |
