Editor: I suspect that "gutter oil" is not really English, but rather Chinglish derived from this very term 地沟油 (地沟 gutter + 油 oil). If so, that would make "gutter oil" a poor definition of 地沟油, since we would be giving a circular definition. My suspicion is based on a Google search for "gutter oil", in which almost every link on the first three pages relates to China. Furthermore, "gutter oil" is not in Encarta, Wiktionary or Webster.
