<< review queue entry 41041 - submitted by 'ccliam' >> My MDBG translator identifies 晩 and 晚 as two different characters as well, so they must have different Unicode IDs, but they look identical to me. Any explanation? Editor: we already have this as a variant in the dict, this is precisely why you see it in MDBG. The difference is evident when you physically write 晩 by hand. Push magnification to the max: 晩 has 12 strokes, 晚 has 11; the diff is in the 丿. I personally write the 12-stroke variant, and ditto in similar characters. |
