initial import
"surpass" looks like a bad def to me.
And nciku's "To fly from the sky" is also laughable, I think.
(direct translation of their CSCD's 飞着从空中越过)

N ~ 飞越 [fēiyuè]

to fly past ~
"Voyager 2 traveled more slowly, flying by Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus to reach Neptune in 1989."

(it's really just a construct)

(of one's spirits) to soar ~
Diff:
+ 飛越 飞越 [fei1 yue4] /to fly across/to fly over/to fly past/(literary) (of one's spirits) to soar/
