And not only that, I later referred to "Google Translate" as GI ! 2) In my mind, if I hear "he stepped forward", it's a single step, whereas "he strode forward" is multiple steps. So I think that "to take a (striding) step" may be about the best we can do. 3) I think "to take a step/to take a stride" also would have been not bad. 4) Thanks for taking the trouble to investigate. |
