<< review queue entry 39074 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> 她撩開這件駝絨旗袍,從床下拖出那口小巧的牛皮箱來,... She tossed it aside and pulled that cute cowhide case out from under the bed. Also see J Editor: verbose, I am aware; and not absolutely accurate. But as long as we have this construct, we can try to explain it. It's rather restricted in use. All of J examples but one fall under this meaning. The one sentence and your Maodun example do point to another use, which doesn't correspond to the basic def of 撩; I would have understood if the cloth had been lying on the bed and hanging down to the floor. Processing tentatively. |
