<< review queue entry 40013 - submitted by 'ycandau' >> I have two problems here: - this is not a verb, don't know what to do there; - defs for 纵身: 身体猛然向前或向上 猛力使身体向上或向前跳离原地 include more than just jumping. J confirms this. Thus 纵身一跳 is much more likely to be "to throw oneself off (a building)" than "to jump up" has it 一只兔子纵身跳过马路 A rabbit was hopping across the road (N) sounds leisurely, much more like "a rabbit sprang across the road" Editor: This seems like a good definition in practical terms, even if 纵身 isn't really a verb. |
