1) 意識 doesn't mean consciously, that's 有意識 (afaik; please
check)
2) as a verb, 意識 is used as 意識到, which mostly means to
become aware,
to realize.
(in fact, I wonder if 意識到 is not the only verbal use, and it
would be better to
have a separate entry for 意識到 ?)
Diff:
- 意識 意识 [yi4 shi2] /consciousness/awareness/consciously (i.e. deliberately)/to be aware/
+ 意識 意识 [yi4 shi2] /consciousness/awareness/to be aware/to realize/
