<< review queue entry 38009 - submitted by 'ycandau' >> We have a problem here. Some think that 堇 and 菫 are variants, some do not. PRC usually does. MoE doesn't. "堇色" site:cn 1,380,000 "堇色" site:tw 18,200 "菫色" site:cn 34,600 "菫色" site:tw 1,420 HYDCD on Z says 堇 is "violet" F has 堇 , not 菫 N has "堇 (菫)" 堇 and 菫 appear as variants in my list of variants, which is elaborated from info in Unihan. (Unihan took info on variants from several dicts). |

- 堇 堇 [jin3] /yellow loam/clay/season/few/ # present def is a copy. # MoE disagrees with this. + 堇 堇 [jin3] /clay/old variant of 僅|仅[jin3]/violet (plant)/ - 菫 菫 [jin3] /Viola verecunda/ + 菫 菫 [jin3] /variant of 堇[jin3]/violet/ # I move that all compounds are written with 堇 # MoE would disagree + 堇色 堇色 [jin3 se4] /violet (color)/ |
