"one's housing" is an odd term, because "housing" means "houses and other buildings
where people live, considered collectively" -- one doesn't refer to "one's collective houses
and buildings" unless, perhaps, one is the Queen of England :-)

One's 房 is one's "house" or "home" rather one's "housing".

It's about repayment of mortgage, not payment of rent, according to the following refs ~

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_mortgage_slave_(China_mainland)
http://baike.baidu.com/view/41339.htm
Diff:
- 房奴 房奴 [fang2 nu2] /a slave to one's housing/a slave of high rent or mortgage repayment/
+ 房奴 房奴 [fang2 nu2] /a slave to one's mortgage/
