<< review queue entry 38565 >> Since you refused to add 裤裤 (review queue entry 38559), this should be deleted as well, since it's just a repetition and carries the same meaning(s) as 包. Editor: It's easy to find inconsistencies in what's included in or excluded from a user-generated reference, especially when the editor group is non-hierarchical, like in CEDICT. I'm talking about borderline cases here, where some may think there's value in including an entry, and others don't ... and others couldn't care less either way. The inclusion or exclusion of 裤裤 is nothing to get excited about really. If you submitted it again, some other editor might see it and say "yeah, that's a word" and add it. I wouldn't be perturbed by that in the least. As for the proposed deletion of 包包, it seems to me that the range of meanings of 包 seems rather broader than the range of meanings of 包包 -- which I don't think is the case for 裤 and 裤裤 . Other editors' comments on the submission: - "I guess it's fine to keep it." - "I am completely apathetic toward this entry." - " 'Anonymous' is one of our biggest contributors... ;)" I think there are more productive things for us to do than debate marginal entries. |
