受試者 is used in the context of subjects in academic experiments.
E.g.: I'm recruiting subjects to participate in a psychology experiment.
我在找受試者參加心理學試驗

Editor: "those tested" is ambiguous, and although ABC, with their definition "examinee; testee" suggests that
"those tested" means "people taking an exam", I didn't find examples for that sense. The examples I saw were
about experiments and clinical trials and so on.

Dict.cn, with their definition "experimenter", is once again off the mark. If there are 6 degrees of separation
between any two words, it seems like dict.cn is always one or two degrees off the mark.
Diff:
- 受試者 受试者 [shou4 shi4 zhe3] /those tested/
# + 受試者 受试者 [shou4 shi4 zhe3] /subject (in an experiment)/those tested/
+ 受試者 受试者 [shou4 shi4 zhe3] /subject (in an experiment)/participant (in a clinical trial etc)/
