<< review queue entry 38061 - submitted by 'fengli' >> Not sure if the dictionary is supposed to cater for American English vs English english? Anyway, I was shocked to find that "chips" weren't in the dictionary until I realised that maybe I need to look up the equivalent USA term. Editor: I suppose we can have "chips" in this entry, but this is a Chinese-->English dictionary, providing definitions of Chinese terms. It's not designed for use as an English-->Chinese dictionary. If you have a Chinese term that is not in CEdict, let us know, but if there is an English word that is not in any of our definitions of Chinese terms, we are usually not concerned about it. We use US spelling. But the terminology is "international", with some bias to US terms, I guess. Most of the editors are not Americans. |
