"ones" should be "one's"
But "takes ones breath away" is 令人惊羡, not 惊羡.
Many dicts say "admire with surprise" but that sounds pretty
unnatural.

Example where 惊羡 has an explicit object ~
他十分惊羡屋子的面积和陈设,...
Diff:
- 驚羨 惊羡 [jing1 xian4] /to admire with surprise/sth takes ones breath away/
+ 驚羨 惊羡 [jing1 xian4] /to marvel at/
