Editor: location changed at different times, this is beyond the scope of a dictionary I don't have time to look into this one right now, but certainly it seems wrong -- or at least misleading -- to imply that Ningxia is in Gansu. "Formerly a province, Ningxia was incorporated into Gansu in 1954 but was detached and reconstituted as an autonomous region for the Hui people in 1958." [Wp] Can someone confirm that Qingzhou was the name of Ningxia? (presumably "Ningxia" refers to the province of Gansu, as it existed some time prior to 1954) |
