Alright, let's do this properly:

Editor: There are stereotypes for various groups of people.
法国人都很浪漫。他们都爱喝红酒。
德国人看起来都很认真。etc.

It's not the job of a dictionary to indicate what the supposed characteristics of those groups of people are,
and so we have a neutral definition like "Frenchman; French person" for 法国人.

The stereotypes of 台妹 and 大陆妹 themselves have been evolving anyway. It seems, for example, that in
some ways 台妹 is a less negative label than it was before, or even something to be proud of, while 大陆妹
is more negative now than it was in the early 1990s*.

Taiwan and Hong Kong Media"

I am going to treat 大陆妹 as an example of a [地方]妹 construct, like 湖南妹, 北妹 and so on, and not give
it an entry in the dictionary.

I propose to define 台妹, however, as 台 in this case does not simply refer to Taiwan. In other words, it's
not a straightforward example of a [地方]妹 construct.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Especially you red-wine drinking, romantic Frenchies ;-)
Diff:
# + 台妹 台妹 [tai2 mei4] /(slang, derogatory) native slut /(typically used by mainland Chinese in Taiwan referring to local girls)/
# + 大陸妹 大陆妹 [da4 lu4 mei4] /(slang, derogatory) mainland slut/(typically used by long-time residents of Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan referring to mainland immigrants)/
+ 台妹 台妹 [Tai2 mei4] /local girl (referring to a Taiwanese benshengren 本省人[ben3 sheng3 ren2])/
+ 本省人 本省人 [ben3 sheng3 ren2] /people of this province/(in Taiwan) Han Chinese people other than those who moved to Taiwan from mainland China after 1945 and their descendants/
