I have been reading some Christian material and sentences with
this word
have largely not made sense to me until I discovered that some
other dictionaries have these alternate definitions.

In what I have read so far, this word is more likely used to
describe
someone's character as trustworthy/honest/reliable

ie Some samples from a google search:
你的信實廣大
信實的神
上帝的信實
你信實不改變

The three words "trustworthy/honest/relable" are the same as
are used in the
ABC
Diff:
- 信實 信实 [xin4 shi2] /to believe something to be true/
# + 信實 信实 [xin4 shi2] /to believe something to be true/trustworthy/honest/relable/
+ 信實 信实 [xin4 shi2] /trustworthy/reliable/to believe something to be true/
