<< review queue entry 37321 - submitted by 'fengli' >> In the PAVC2 textbook, page 183, the text book writes the pinyin for 穿著 as "chuan1 zhe" and bopomofo as "zhe" as well. I am not sure the entry is wrong, i.e. perhaps at times it is pronounced this other way, however it might be worth checking. And assuming there are two legitimate different pronunciations, how would this be handled, would there need to be two entries in the dictionary? Editor: dear fengli, 穿著 chuan1 zhe5 is a grammatical construction, where the verb 穿 is followed by the aspect particle 著. I am sure that was explained in a previous lesson of 視聽華語. Conversely, chuan1 zhuo2 is a word in its own right. |
