魯迅's 風波 has 閨女生了一個夜叉之類 which is translated as virgin gives
birth to a demon.
English wikipedia defines Yaksha as "a broad class of nature-spirits, usually
benevolent" but this seems not to be the meaning in Chinese, even if the
word is derived from the Sanskrit. I have tried to translate the meanings from
MoE.

Editor: the aim of C-Cedict is not provide an English copy of MoE.
Here MoE is imaginative: 紅樓夢˙第六十五回:「可是扯謊!這樣一個夜叉,怎麼反怕屋裡的人呢?」Here the word still means "demon", even if applied to a woman. Does the sentence translate as "this kind of wife" or as "a demon of this sort"?
Do English dicts say: "witch: wife" ?
Diff:
- 夜叉 夜叉 [ye4 cha4] /yaksha (nature spirits)/
# + 夜叉 夜叉 [ye4 cha4] /yaksha (transliteration from Sanskrit)/malevolent spirit/ferocious-looking person/wife/
+ 夜叉 夜叉 [ye4 cha4] /yaksha (malevolent spirit)/ferocious-looking person/
