I don't think we have 臺 and 台 listed as variants, and 台 is commonly used in Taiwan itself -- e.g. 柯林頓在總統任內曾提出「三不」政策（不支持台灣獨立、不支持一中一台 或兩個中國、不支持台灣加入需要以國家身分參加的國際機構），... So it seems more useful to have 台 in the fanti. |
