<< review queue entry 36527 >> 'attempt at assassination' is highly misleading and confusing. 未遂 doesn't invariably refer to an assassination. The first part covers cases where no misdeed is involved (like 救人未遂 in the context of medical treatment), and the second part suggests the fact that 未遂 is commonly used in connection with suicide or misdeeds like fraud and murder. |
