Wp says "The army rank of captain (from the French capitaine) is a commissioned officer rank historically corresponding to command of a company of soldiers. ... In the Chinese People's Liberation Army, a captain may also command a platoon, or be the second-in-command of a battalion", but that article links to the article on 上尉, not 連長. |
