<< review queue entry 35421 - submitted by 'vermillon' >> I'm not sure mentality fits most of the examples I've found. http://www.jukuu.com/show-%E5%BF%83%E7%9B%AE-0.html for instance Editor: No, I don't think "mentality" is much good either. 心目 seems hard to define idiomatically without using ambiguous words, but after looking at examples, I think that simply "mind/view" would just about do the job. Both "view" and "mind" are quite ambiguous, but 心目 seems to be in the overlap between the senses of "view" and "mind". I don't think "mind's eye" is so good -- it's about forming a *visual* image, whereas 心目 is more about a way of *thinking about* sth. |
