<< review queue entry 35469 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> Edward stripped the "encyclopedic" information from the original entry for 八国联军 (processed by mdbg). I have restored it in skeleton form -- I think it's worth giving minimal details. Originally it said: "Eight-power allied force (England, America, Germany, France, Russia, Japan, Italy and Austria) that invaded China and took Beijing in 1900" It is unnecessary to give historical details in *bot* entries since there is a cross-reference from one to the other. ABC gives the pinyin as Bāguó Liánjūn, and Wp likewise sees 八国 as a single word -- bāgúo liánjūn The cross-reference in the 瓦德西 entry is currently incorrect, so I fixed it. |
