I have tried to take the modern definitions from MoE (while leaving out the archaic ones). In passing I came across and have tired to correct these variants/compounds. I confess being entirely unsure of the simplified version of either sense of 豊. Editor: don't quite see your point: "quite spurious distinction between 豐 referring to things and 丰 referring to people". Basically the defs were good. "appearance" is right as as a variant of 風. "丰滿, is (I think) wrong": no, but a common variant. Everybody uses it. It even used to be printed in the days when small complicated chars were difficult to carve. I think "buxom" was a great word for "plump and good-looking", keeping it. |
