His answer: “老乡医”是年老的乡村医生的简称。 你的字典把“老乡医”分开了，“老乡”“医生”。如果是来自老家的医生，应该说“一个来自我老家的医生”或者“一个69岁的医生，他是我老乡。” Editor: for a moment I thought you said we have 老鄉醫 in the dict. Fortunately that is not so. I don't know what dictionary you are using. I strongly advise to change to smthing else, if it carries "老鄉醫 : hometown doctor", a very un-Chinese construct: the meaning is absurd, 老鄉 cannot be a direct apposition to another noun, you can't have a two-char word appositioned to a one-char word, etc. 老鄉醫 is a construct, but having 鄉醫 in the dict will help. 鄉醫 are not quite doctors, that's why "rural doctor" could be confusing. I am submitting 乡村医生 in another entry as "village doctor" |
