<< review queue entry 33118 - submitted by 'jscheungli' >> Even though it seems that there is a new "unified prononciation" for 拙, every Chinese people that I have met all still pronounce it with a second tone. So thank you for at least disclosing both prononciations. Editor: 拙 is consistently pronounced zhuo2 by a number of persons. In fact it's so common that it is standard in Tw. However, the PRC standard is zhuo1. It is so in my 30-year-old paper dict, so it's not a new thing. We stick to PRC standard; when a char has an alternative pronunciation that is valid for all compounds, that is indicated at the individual char, not in all compounds. |
