<< review queue entry 32887 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> Editor: final particle give rise to all kinds of intonation, maybe that's why dicts like to list them as 5th tone. 耶 is used a lot in Tw, maybe not so much in PRC. However, when I read 耶 in subtitles, I hear all kind of sounds, it's more a conventional way to note a final sound. I don't think it's wise to try to define too precisely what final particle convey. That's highly variable. |
