I think this definition is at least as good as "shopping for shopping's sake" anyway, if not much better. As you suggested, I have withdrawn "impulse buying" as off the mark. Oops -- I somehow missed the fact that we already had an entry for this word -- oh, well, I'll update it to indicate that it doesn't include "shopping for groceries" and so forth. |
