I like to be able to directly see the appropriate tones when learning new
characters, rather than numbers indicating a tone. Another thing is that I
learn things more quickly when I am able to view words in a grammatically
correct and meaningful context. That's why I thought it might be useful to
add sample sentences.

Editor: Thanks, but we use numbers rather than tone marks in the CEDICT database. Software using the
database can convert the tone numbers to tone marks easily enough (see mdbg.net, for example).
We are not including example sentences, at least at this stage.
