Or is this a construct 给与+资格 ?

I find one sentence at jukuu:
"The Season IV qualifiers in Stockholm past weekend was a big success for me.
在斯德哥尔摩过去的一个周末的季节4个给与资格的人是我的大成功。"

Editor: hm, 给与资格 is what E/C dicts give for "to qualify", a gloss, not a real Chinese word; moreover they give "qualifier":给与资格的人, which will rarely be the English meaning (qualifier: preliminary heat, or contestant who has passed such heat. 给与资格的人 : person *who gives* the qualification).

The sentence you quote is a good instance of the (very rare) instances I can find on the web, the result of automatic or inept translation. Not only the sentence is globally wrong, but the unthinking replacement of "qualifiers" by 给与资格*的人* caused my jaw to drop all the way to the floor.

Web usages are either on this line, or copies of Cedict entry
