The sentence reads "。。。自然就想娶这个结实精致，体面妇人到家做老婆。” I looked up the definition first here, but it didn't make much sense, so then consulted NCIKU as well as "The Contemporary Chinese Dictionary". It must have been confused with 结果, which indeed means to bear fruit. Editor : it's jie1 shi5, and it's in the dict. Look. |
