I'm not sure if "to quilt" is the right verb, basically it's a sewing technique that
where several layers of fabric (or cotton, etc) are sewed together, and the
appearance is a like a mattress.

Editor: "to quilt" seems a good English rendering of this char.
"to sew with long stitches" say some dicts, but the Chinese def:
用针线粗缝,把棉絮固定在里子上,使不致滑动
seems well rendered by "quilt"
