Editor : well, if nciku is as far as you can see, then you are short-sighted. nciku is simply a copy (verbatim, mostly) of sources we have identified. Not necessarily bad, but limited; and certainly uncritical. MoE says 編纂, Z dic says 纂集; the examples they give are pretty unambiguous. Even on nciku, 編撰 means "compile"; only 撰 can give it this meaning. I had checked all this, of course, *before* your submission. |
