As to the matter of web frequencies... is it that easy? Are those the frequencies for the character used alone? Are those frequencies the same when you check on a compound. MoE says in modern usage one variant should be preferred in some words and the other in other words... I notice that in Cedict, we have sometimes the one and sometimes the other, is that right? I don't know... Where is the "truth"? |
