MoE says in fact : 淒 : 悲傷。通「悽」 It's a specialized variant (for the meaning "sad" only). And this way we do not have to duplicate all words which are written equivalently with 淒 or 悽 (and for which I will support that they appear in the dict entry with 悽, following MoE and (usually) web frequencies) |
