(4) "interest" by itself is highly ambiguous, and near-synonyms "curiosity" and "concern" do not really convey the meaning accurately either. Examples: (1) /interest (desire to know about sth)/ 他只对整个都市的交通问题感兴趣。 (2) /interest (thing in which one is interested)/hobby/ 「他的興趣是蒐集郵票。」(MoE) 您小孩也有这个兴趣吗 (web) |
