No, that was not literal

Editor:
"Seventh of the Three Stars" is not strictly literal either. "Three Stars 7" would be a literal translation. But in
CEDICT it is more practical to view "lit." as shorthand for "a *more* literal translation" rather than "a *strictly*
literal translation".

参宿 literally means "the Three Stars Chinese constellation": the English Wikipedia article matching the
Chinese one titled 参宿 is titled "Three Stars (Chinese constellation)".

So "seventh star of the Three Stars Chinese constellation" is pretty close to literal, and is a more useful
definition than "Seventh of the Three Stars" IMO.
Diff:
# - 參宿七 参宿七 [Shen1 xiu4 qi1] /Rigel (star)/lit. seventh star of the Three Stars Chinese constellation/
# + 參宿七 参宿七 [Shen1 xiu4 qi1] /Rigel (star)/lit. Seventh of the Three Stars/
= 參宿七 参宿七 [Shen1 xiu4 qi1] /Rigel (star)/lit. seventh star of the Three Stars Chinese constellation/
