Anyway here's the problem: 1) 畦 doesn't mean furrow, I don't know how this entered Cedict. 2) 埂 doesn't mean an irrigation channel, but a small dyke or elevated earth path. Altogether you've discovered 2 errors in Cedict; but they made you misread the Chinese defs you quote. |
