story of that word:
- 挾帶 挟带 [xie2 dai4] /to carry under one's arm/to secretly carry contraband/
# original submission 挾帶 挟带 [xie2 dai4] /to carry under one's arm/to secretly carry contraband/bringalongforcibly
+ 挾帶 挟带 [xie2 dai4] /to hold sth under the arm/to force sb to submit to one's will/to harbor (a grudge etc)/

1. "to hold under the arm" is not in my dicts. However since 挾 may mean "carry under the arm" it is a possible construct; I don't think it likely, because I think you would say 挾著. Not on jukuu.
2. same for "to force sb...". It might mean "to bring along forcibly" (a bit different) but it is not in dicts or on jukuu.
3. meaning in dicts is given as "to carry along" (as water does with sand, maybe "to entrain"), to carry with one, moe adds "secretly", making the meaning akin to 夾帶. These senses are attested on jukuu.
3. "to harbor a grudge" is not in dicts, or on jukuu. However it seems a possible figurative sense. Philip put it in, I am expecting to hear from him :-)

Editor : Philip doesn't remember ...
