I think this should be capital B in the pinyin, but small c in the English definition, and I would explain my view by comparison with the term "front crawl".

The front crawl is a style of swimming. It is not the name of a specific entity, so it's not a proper noun and it isn't spelled "Front crawl". However, it is also known as the "Australian crawl". That doesn't make it a proper noun. The capital A is there for the name of the country.

Likewise, capoeira is a style of dance/martial art, and it isn't a proper noun either. In the pinyin however, however, ba1xi1 should be Ba1xi1 (Brazil) with a capital B, just as "Australian crawl" has a capital A.

In Wiktionary "capoeira" is spelled with small c. In Wikipedia, the spelling is inconsistent, but mostly small c is used.
