"physiognomy" has something in common with 相面, but the exisiting definition seems accurate enough, whereas "physiognomy" is more about assessing sb's character rather than their fortune. << review queue entry 23747 - submitted by 'mmmoore' >> Physiognomy is the assessment of a person's character or personality from their outer appearance, especially the face (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physiognomy). This may be the closest European equivalent to 相面. |
