of course I have verified that 唻 appears as an onomotopeia in Mandarin context. Take for instance this song :啊唻，巴郎木 by 北京天使之音合唱团. But as I fancy that you will say that they are in fact singing in Cantonese (!), I will quote 康熙字典 at you: 《玉篇》歌聲也。 What references did you check before wasting my time? Your own innate knowledge of the language? This kind of contribution doesn't look like trying to help, but trying to snub the editor.
