<< review queue entry 18455 - submitted by 'ycandau' >> Here are entries from 3 online dicts. moe.edu : And my paper dict says the same. wherefrom I deduce that 勾 means a tick, a check, a mark on paper, or to make such a mark, with a positive or a negative meaning. This basic meaning explains "to strike out" if followed by 掉 or any such. (and "cancel" is fugurative, should be reserved for 勾销) Now, Karan, what are *your* arguments? It takes time reviewing such entries, I don't appreciate having my edits annihilated within 5 mn without the semblance of a argumentation. |
