v2 ~ The definition seems to check out. I've just rearranged things a bit. "remake" seems to be a common usage, and it's in Wiktionary (written by user Wyang, no less), while "reproduce (photo etc)" is in NA, for example. The "adapt" sense is seen in examples like 歷年來有不少小說被翻拍為電影，例如《月老》、《報告老師！怪怪怪怪物！》都是為大眾熟知的作品； 不過，今年度正好有許多知名的舞台劇或音樂劇，翻拍為電影形式，在這個難以出國「朝聖」的時代，或許可以先從螢幕中一睹為快。 |
