It's not "shake" as in "He is shaking a flag."

It's almost always sth one experiences while *traveling*.
As LA says: "(車、船等)... "
This is not clear from our present definition.

Examples

Leaving the paved road behind them, the jeeps continue on the dirt and gravel road, and slow to no more than 30 kilometers an hour. The jeeps jerk and shake like small boats in heavy seas.

DOTSTAR is a manifestation of the human ambition to grasp the unknown variables of nature. But since an ordinary person would be uncomfortable, or even nauseous, in turbulence, doesn't it seem a little bit crazy to fly right into a typhoon-the worst weather there is?
