Editor: If you check the following diagram, you can see that the 瓜蒂 is indeed mostly pedicel, with a small calyx on the end.

The following book also states that the calyx is only *part* of the 瓜蒂.

If you Google ["瓜蒂" powder], you find that nobody is talking about "melon calyx powder".
Here are some of the results:
