<< review queue entry 57908 - submitted by 'ycandau' >> dicts describe it mostly as annular with a gap; images concur, mostly flat, holed disk with a gap It's not a ring, 佩玉 --------------------------------- Editor: Can be an earring (a type of pendant, after all): TP ~ 玻璃耳玦、 glass earrings, ACE and its successors (including NC, A, & PLC) refer to it as a "ring", which is misleading. OED @ penannular ~ "Nearly annular; having the form of an almost complete ring; circular with a small part of the circumference missing." That seems more specific than "quasi-annular", which could refer to a shape without a gap, as in this description of a backrest ("characterized by a quasi-annular frame") https://www.google.co.in/patents/EP0020137A1?cl=en |
