But that def conveys to me absolutely nothing about what the expression means. I tried to use it as a basis for understanding real uses of 拿得起 in context, honestly I can't. M corresponds much more to what I think of the expression: 行事果斷，不患得患失。如：「男子漢要拿得起放得下，不要患得患失！」 M@輸不起 「你不要這樣子輸不起，男子漢大丈夫要拿得起放得下！」 examples 不是所有男人在爱情上都能拿得起放得下的，他们也许和你分手后会被愧疚感困扰，...
