1) "bat" seems to be wrong, except perhaps when it's the UK term for a table tennis racket:
Wp ~ "[in table tennis] The ITTF uses the term "racket", though "bat" is common in Britain, and "paddle" in the U.S."
In that case, the (sports) tag should apply to "bat" as well, but I think we should drop "bat" if it's specific to UK English.
A sports "bat" is usually a 球棒, I think.

2) flyswatter etc -- see LA

3) GI, TP and J all suggest that the music sense should come first.
